While it is undisputed that the origins of modern soccer, or football, originated in Britain, there is a great deal of evidence that points to this beloved game as having an older history.

Where did the game of soccer really begin, and how old is it? To understand how many different varieties of "soccer" there are, you need to understand a bit about the older versions of the game and how they have evolved.

Chinese Soccer History

To many, this is the oldest version of soccer to exist. However, there is quite a lot of controversy of whether or not this is the oldest, or Japan's version is the elder. The Chinese version of the game, originally named "Tsu Chu", involved players on a field that had to hit a leather ball stuffed with fur into a small hole. Like Soccer, no hands were permitted during the play of the game, and it was considered an honor to be a member of a team.

The Emperor of the Han Dynasty, when the game was developed, was an avid player and fan, and spread the popularity of this game all over China during his reign. This roughly dates back to 300 B.C., although there is controversy on the subject of dating, which could result in the origins of the game being as far back as 5000 B.C. Regardless, this version of Soccer is extremely old. Despite that, there is still a version of Tsu Chu played today. While the two games are similar, Tsu Chu has had no effect on the modern version of the game, as it was originally developed and created for play in Great Britain.

Japanese Soccer History

Kemari, the Japanese version of "Soccer", is perhaps one of the most different forms of the sport, in comparison to modern soccer. Kemari was a game of "Keep it up", much like modern hacky sacks, although used with a larger ball that was stuffed with saw dust. This version involves a "pitch", or the field, designated by the selection of four trees, the cherry, maple, pine and willow. Many great houses in Japan would grow trees to have a permanent pitch, or field, established.

Kemari was normally played with two to twelve players. Established in roughly 1004 B.C., it vies for position of the oldest game with China's Tsu Chu. In fact, China's Tsu Chu players and Japan's Kemari players were the first to have an "International" game of their versions of Soccer, which is dated to have occurred in roughly 50 B.C., although a definite date of 611 A.D. is known. Regardless, this game stands with China as a sister sport to Soccer, while it never affected the modern version of the game.

Egyptian Soccer History

While not much is known about Egyptian Soccer, or other ball games, it is thought there was a version of a type of ball game played by young women during the age of Baqet III. On his tomb, images of this sport were depicted, although no one is certain how the game was played or whether or not it truly affected the outcome of modern soccer. Recordings of this game date as far back as 2500 B.C., although not much more is known asides the fact that it was played with a ball. The lack of information on the sport and how it was played has eliminated it from runnings as the first evidence of a game similar to soccer.

Greek/Roman Soccer History

Perhaps the closest relative to modern soccer are the games that were formed by the Greeks during the prime of their culture. They had numerous varieties of football style games, some of which required hands, some of which forbade hands. In the end, after the Roman conquering of Greece, the game Harpastum is what modern soccer would be based from. This game, probably a modified version of the Greek's "Harpaston", which translates roughly to handball. While grossly misnamed, this game is what is considered to be one of the precursors to modern soccer.

British Soccer History

In Britain during the 8th century, soccer was created, not as a recreational sport, but as a war game. One of the stories of the original roots of the sport comes from when a Danish Prince was beheaded, and his head was used as a ball and was kicked around. Ever since this 'legendary' tale, villages and other communities would play a game where they would have to kick a ball to a specific goal. It was a violent game, where injury and death were not uncommon, but it was popular nevertheless. In fact, it was so violent, that in 1331, King Edward the III passed laws to try to stop the playing of the game. It did not work, however, and the sport continued on.

There are even stories of soccer games that involved hundreds upon hundreds of players. In these games, there were many deaths, some resulting in the hundreds. It wasn't until 1815 when Eton College set up a series of rules for the game that it became less violent and more of a true sport. At this time, other colleges and universities took up the banner and began to play under similar rules. Later, the rules were evaluated and judged, and the Cambridge rules were created as a result in 1848. In the Cambridge rules, shin-kicking, carrying the ball and tripping were all forbidden. Rugby rules allowed these aspects, and the two varieties of soccer, or football, split to form their own followings.

On October 26, 1863, London schools and sports club sent representatives to the Freemason's Tavern, where the Football Association was formed. Rugby supporters left this association to form the Rugby Association. This is where the birth of modern soccer began. In 1969, the Football Association finalized the modern game of soccer by forbidding the use of hands in the game.

The term "Soccer" was coined when someone was asked if he was a Rugger, which is a Rugby player. The -er signified that the person participated in a a particular sport. The individual, Charles Wreford Brown, replied with "Soccer!", taking the phrase from Association, SOC, and adding the -er. The term stuck. While British individuals still call the game Football, Americans and other countries call it Soccer, especially if they have heavy support in American Football present. Ever since the foundation of the Association, "Football" has risen in popularity, becoming one of the best love games in the history of Earth. Now, hundreds of thousands play the sport, although it lacks the initial violence present at its creation.

Meditation and the Monkey Mind?

Some find the term, monkey mind, upsetting, derogatory, and insulting. This is a shame, as the point is lost, the ego is involved, and a natural human defense goes up. After all, we are supposed to be the king of the primates, arent we?

The first time I heard the expression, monkey mind, in regard to meditation, I thought of Swayambhunath Stupa, in Kathmandu, Nepal. Sometimes, this is named, the monkey temple, and it made me laugh inside, as monkeys need supervision in human settings. The picture of unsupervised monkeys got into my head, and I was suppressing laughter during a serious conversation.

Monkeys can be nuisances, when allowed to roam without some guidance, and it is the same with the untrained mind that runs from topic to topic, without getting much accomplished. So please dont waste time being offended by the term, and try to look at the comical side.

When you allow yourself to enjoy life, and try not to take anything too seriously, you can see that monkeys dont have it so bad after all. Very often, the human mind spends too much time defending, worrying, posturing, influencing, fearing, and feeling embarrassed, to enjoy life to its fullest potential.

In fact, you are not your mind. You are responsible for your actions, but many things happen in the thought process before you do take action. For example: when you think, images and options are created. As a result of those images, you get a physical feeling somewhere around your heart.

Whether the feeling is, good or bad, you process it into action, or treat it as a fleeting thought that passes and may be forgotten. So if you have a fleeting evil thought and it passes - should you waste time feeling guilty about it? The natural safeguard for ethical behavior is your heart or gut feeling. This is the best indicator of wrong or right.

Mankind has the ability to influence the universe, and create different realities, but separating what is sacred, from what is evil, has been a dilemma for thousands of years. The disconnection from your inner self, nature, and God, has led to excessive confusion.

Thank God for meditation; it allows you to harness the power of the mind, settle down, and focus, on one subject at a time. If you take the time for a daily meditation practice, your decision-making process will be much more controlled and clear. The end result will be to look at the monkey with much more respect, appreciation, and a bit of humor.

Part 1 Walt Disney world

Disney films were a staple when I was growing up, and we went to Disneyland in California dozens of times; my greatest ambition in those days was to live at Snow White's castle! So to say that I am a Disney Fan is a bit of an understatement. When I moved to Florida from the West Coast, I took every opportunity to visit Walt Disney world in Orlando and never tire of the parks. The last four years I lived there, I even had a clerical job for one of the Disney companies, off property and though I wasnt employed in the Park itself, I was thrilled to be small part of the magic.

We moved back to the West Coast and its been nearly a decade since Ive had the chance to go back, so an upcoming anniversary seemed like the perfect excuse to make a trip. I planned, saved, and dreamed of the trip for months anxious for the day we departed surprising my husband who thought we were doing something else. When we arrived at SeaTac, he found out the destination was Orlando, and good naturedly went along for the ride! Since our last few vacations had been fishing trips, this was set to be a very different kind of trip.

After flying all night, we arrived in Orlando around 7:00 a.m. I had been dreaming of pecan waffles for months so we headed straight to The Waffle House, a fixture in the South; thus energized we headed to Walt Disney world to check in our hotel. Since it opened in 1990, I had always been particularly fond of Disneys Yacht & Beach Club resorts, and we finally were able to stay at the Beach Club! The New England beach theme is charming and relaxing. Since it was early December, the Christmas decorations were all in place and added a unique enchantment to the setting, including a gingerbread carousel.

The hotel was able to allow us early check-in, so we changed and walked to the International Gate at EPCOT, which is near the France pavilion. The morning was bright and warm, and it was blissful to just walk around the grounds soaking up the sun. We spent a couple of hours scoping out what was new since wed last been there, and enjoyed a couple rides before heading back to the hotel in mid-afternoon. Since wed been up all night, we slept for a short time, and were refreshed for a simple appetizer dinner at one of the bars amazing Shrimp cocktails.

The next day we spent most of the day at EPCOT again, taking the time to really explore and enjoy another glorious warm and sunny day. Though there are many familiar exhibits and rides, many have been updated and several new rides awaited our discovery, and everything met our expectations. Mission Space and Test Track were thrilling and exciting and the grounds were especially beautiful, as always!

Since it was our anniversary, we had a special celebration dinner at the Yatchsman Steakhouse, and I even had my first taste of Louis the XIII de Remy Martin cognac. Then we walked back to EPCOT for the nightly Illuminations Fireworks display and then spent the rest of the balmy evening relaxing in the hot tub and going for a swim, with a clear starry sky overhead.

On the 2nd day of our trip, we spent the morning wandering around at Downtown Disney, where we enjoyed lunch at Planet Hollywood, explored the new (to us!) Disney Quest then headed to Disney MGM Studios where we spent the afternoon enjoying the exhilarating Aerosmiths Rockin Roller Coaster, the Twilight Zones Tower of Terror, favorites like Star Tours, and others. A Christmas-themed parade capped off the afternoon, and we took the water launch back to our hotel where we walked around the grounds again. On the way out of the hotel early that morning, we happen to notice several turtles resting in the sun in one of the ponds on the property, and spent a long time watching them before we started the busy day.

The next day we spent the morning at Magic Kingdom, enjoying Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted mansion, Space Mountain, and Mickeys Philharmagic, a hilarious 3D movie staring Mickey Mouse and the irrepressible Donald Duck! We then headed to Disneys Grand floridian Resort & Spa where we were booked for a spa treatment. We then enjoyed dinner at Narcoosees, nestled right on the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon with a perfect view of the Magic Kingdoms nightly fireworks displays. The Christmas decorations at the Victorian-themed Grand floridian are meticulous and charming including a life-sized gingerbread house, and even toasty hot roasted chestnuts!

Though this was to be the last of our 4 days at the Walt Disney world Resort, more adventures awaited, as I had also booked a 3 night Disney Cruise to the Bahamas. We spent most of our time at Walt Disney world peacefully enjoying the familiar and exploring the new, and even though we never made it to some of the newer attractions like Animal Kingdom, the Sports Complex, or any of the water parks, we felt like we had done so much, relaxed, and truly enjoyed each day to the fullest!

The Amusement Park Experience Of A Grownup

The city of Orlando, located in the U.S. State of Florida, is known all around the world thanks to its theme parks. Featuring some of the world's best theme and amusement parks, this tourist destination offers to million of visitors annually the opportunity to take a close portrait photograph with Mickey or see Shrek hugging dad while he waits in line to purchase tickets. The famous walt Disney world Resort, the Sea world and the Universal Orlando Resort, offer thrilling rides, 3D movies, and all sort of extreme adventures, based mainly on cartoon or movie characters known to us since the time we were kids. But if one does not have kids, is there a reason to spend a small fortune for just a ride?

Well, I wish the answer was a simple yes or no. Allow me to argue before casting a stone. Last Christmas (no, not the one I gave you my heart as Wham mentioned in their famous 80s song) I was visited by my folks who decided to spend their Christmas and New Years vacations in United States for the first time. Since my brother is currently a resident of South Florida, it was inevitable for us to go where the weather conditions would be better. Thus, after taking care of some personal business, I flew to South Florida to join my family and spend my winter vacations in a sunny climate for the first time. Since my brother was really excited that we were all together again, he proposed a short journey to one or Orlando's theme parks as none of us had ever visited one. We immediately agreed and two days later we drove to discover the Islands of Adventure and jump into the actions of the Universal Studios movies.

To my surprise, I really enjoyed our visit there and although I was really glad to have the opportunity of experiencing yet another of our legendary family trips, I was secretly worried that the whole experience would prove to be a really boring one, apart for myself, for my parents, who I regret to admit are now of a certain age that does not permit them to experience an excitement as a ten year old would. But to my astonishment, my father was the one dragging us from venue to venue, insisting to visit every single place in the theme park -the daily tickets must have been on sale- and was always pointing something new, something fun we should not miss to explore. I will not mislead you by saying that he or my mother decided to get on those "terrifying trains" as they called them, but they did not go up against our determination to ride them again and again or to laugh while listening to our happy screams.

So, yes it is true. I really enjoyed my first visit at a theme park. Perhaps I have excuses, like the fact that I have not seen my parents or brother for a long time, or that I was under tremendous stress for more than six months and this was my first chance to let myself again relax and enjoy the ride. So, regardless if you are accompanying your nephew or daughter, you should take some time off when you get the chance and experience how it feels to see earth while hanging upside down at 125 feet over the ground ridding the Fire or Ice Dragon as they narrowly pass within inches from each other, on a roller coaster running at a speed of 55 mph.

If it wasnt a big enough perk to grow up next door to the Magic Kingdom, Orange County high school students are also being sought out by nonprofit organizations in their area. As part of Disneylands 50th anniversary celebrations, high school students from Orange County Schools have the chance to participate in community outreach projects with local nonprofits.

The Show Your Character competition encourages local nonprofits to design projects that get high school students involved. Beginning in 2004 and continuing through 2006, Orange County nonprofits submit project proposals designed to help local teenagers give back to their community. If selected, the nonprofits are paired with Orange County high school students and given the resources they needed to complete a community service project in their neighborhoods.

Projects for the competition must meet the California curriculum standards for Service Learning Projects. In this way, students earn academic credit while learning valuable skills from nonprofit groups.

Jnana Yoga does not have to exist within the study of scripture only. We can also learn useful lessons by observing the actions of others. Have you ever noticed that those people who tend to cause new rules to be instituted, never stay in one place very long?

They wear out their welcome fast. They may go through a number of jobs, creating new rules for everyone else, they leave behind. These are the rule breakers of life. In Yoga studios, on the job, or out in traffic, they set precedents everywhere they go.

Rule breakers tend to be self-serving and negative about life in general. Everyone owes them something, life is never fair to them, and their surrounding environment is to blame for all the wrongs life has done to them. Their family, job, society, and friends are at fault for their lot in life.

Believe it or not, you can learn a lot by watching a rule breaker in practice. My grandfather used to say, Even the court jester can teach you something. It is very true in this case, as well.

For a start, we can learn how not to act, but there is much more. How are this persons listening skills? Chances are - this person does not listen to others. In fact, part of making lasting friendships, partnerships, and relationships, is to listen to others empathically.

Does this person take responsibility for his or her actions? Usually, this person feels they are smarter than everyone else, but a victim of circumstance when schemes do not have the desired result.

The irony is - a rule breaker will never be navigated by reality, unless he or she makes a big change in attitude. Therefore, always be guided by common sense and ethics.

1. Show interest in and be curious about those you talk with.

In conversation, to be curious is a definite plus. Being curious about another person helps to engage us and to validate that person as interesting. On the other hand, if we seem bored by or indifferent to the person, they feel invalidated, as if we are saying You hold no interest for me. You are not interesting.

not to be curious can be troublesome in life. As human relations speaker and author Dale Carnegie wrote:

It is the individual who is not interested in his fellow men who has the greatest difficulties in life and provides the greatest injury to others. It is from among such individuals that all human failures spring.

Consider the spouse who shows no curiosity about what hispartner is thinking or feeling, or the parent who does not wonderabout the thoughts and inner lives of the children. Consider themanager, thinking s/he knows everything about the business andwho expresses no interest in the employees ideas. We know theresults: Distance and negative feelings between the people.

The good news is that we can choose to be interested orcurious. This is an act of intention. For example, whohas not taken a required course of study that held nointerest at the outset but then, when you saw that beinguninterested in the subject resulted in poor learning andgrades, you decided to be interested in order to learn better.

The same is true for our interest in other people. Forexample, a husband whose marriage is troubled and who facesseparation and even divorce because he expresses so littleinterest in his wife may choose to become interested abouthis wife and what she has to say. When he changes his thinkingand his attitudes, his conversational behavior also changes.He pays close attention. He asks questions. He listens carefully.

I notice that many people try to appear interesting themselves instead of being genuinely interested in others. When we show interest in others, they usually begin to show interest in us. However, when we try to be interesting, we often look self-conscious or even vain, whereas being genuinely interested in other people makes our conversations and life experience a rich adventure.

2. Balance the talking and listening. Take turns.

We Americans tend mainly to be out-going, extraverts, talkative. Thats probably a plus, because we are an optimistic, can-do society. However, for relationships, lots of talking and too much talking can be harmful to personal and business relationships.

The scientific evidence suggests that balancing our conversation so that everyone gets a turn who wants a turn is supportive of social relations. In informal conversation, balance requires that speakers monitor themselves so that they do not dominate by talking too much. It is also important for more quiet people to speak up from time to time so that the talkative ones dont think you are giving up any interest in sharing your ideas.

Balancing the talk doesnt require a strict 50-50 distribution. The ratio can be 80-20 and still be balanced, as when one person is mainly interviewing the other who of course will do most of the talking. The key here is not so much the actual time each one talks. It is the taking turns that matters. One person may ask a brief question that requires a long, detailed answer.

Having balance in a conversation suggests safety andfairness and creates a supportive climate for honest ideasto be expressed and heard. In large groups, a chairpersonor a facilitator can monitor and direct the talk and makecertain everyone has a chance to speak fully. In casualconversation, we must manage ourselves to make surewe have balance.

3.Give genuine compliments and real praise when appropriate.

Some people have trouble giving compliments. Others have trouble receiving compliments graciously. Most of these troubles are caused by upbringing and culture. All of these old habits can be eliminated and replaced with kinder and more generous behavior that fosters better relations between people.

The fact is, such public and global praise is suspect, not helpful. And not only for children, but for adults as well. Writing in his landmark 1996 book, Punished by Rewards, Alfie Kohn makes four solid points about giving compliments and praise:

a. Dont praise people, only what people do. Its less likely that there will be a gap between what someone hears and what he thinks about himself if we dont make sweeping comments about what he is like as a person.

b. Make praise as specific as possible. Even better than Thats a really nice story is Thats neat at the end when you leave the main character a little confused about what happened to him.

c. Avoid phony praise. . . . One symptom of phony praise is asqueaky, saccharine voice that slides up and down the scale and bears little resemblance to the way we converse with our friends. A four-year-old can usually tell the difference between a genuine expression of pleasure and phony praise, between a sincere smile and one that is manufactured and timed for best effect.

d.Avoid praise that sets up competition. Phrases like Youre the best in the class (or for adults, in this department), whose most pernicious effects . . . encourage a view of others as rivals rather than as potential collaborators. Whats more, they lead people to see theirown worth in terms of whether they have beaten everyone else a recipe for perpetual insecurity.

Kohn supports each of these points with solid research as hesuggests ways to encourage people and build their intrinsic motivation.

During my early life I had difficulty giving compliments, and now I enjoy doing so. The Scandinavian culture I grew up in was not comfortable with compliments because parents believed that kids would get a big head and be prideful. I also had trouble giving compliments because I DID see my fellow students and friends as competitors in classes and on the playing fields. I needed more maturity to be able to give genuine praise to my rivals.

For many years now I have enjoyed complimenting others inspecific ways because I can see the positive effects that result.When I coach professionals on their performance, the specificcompliments I give them on their behavior and the work theyproduce helps them grow and develop.

Some time ago, a student asked, Whenever I compliment myfriend, she resists. How can I make my compliments stick?

Try this method: Add a question after your compliment:

I think your new hairstyle is stunning, Sally! Who did it for you?

Adding such a tag-question at the end usually prevents the person from avoiding the compliment because they are responding to the follow-up. The way you read the poem was deeply touching, Fred. Did you practice it many times?

Finally, if you yourself tend to deflect compliments, try harder to accept them. A simple Thank you to the one offering the compliment will do. After you run the billiards table, or score perfectly on the test, its simply not appropriate to refuse a compliment. Nor is it genuine for the football star who scores seven touchdowns to say It wasnt me; it was the other guys on the team. When you receive a genuine compliment, acknowledge it and let it in!

4. Keep your positive energy up.

When we interact with others, we exchange not only words and bodily expressions. We also give off exchange our vital energy. If our energy is high and vibrant, we lift the conversation. If its low and sluggish, we sap energy from the encounter.

In his work with management, he has them look at those factors in the company that drain human energy and those factors that increase the energy. Energetic people thrive, and low-energy peoplebarely survive. His excellent book, Energy Matters, gives you many ideas on how to enhance your personal energy and avoid being drained by difficult or toxic interactions.

Many ways are available to increase and maintain our personal energy. Among them are well known methods, such as being well nourished and well rested. Also, keeping our interactions positive rather than negative, focusing on whats good and what works instead of griping and complaining. A fine resource to enable positive talk is the book, Encyclopedia of Positive Questions by Diana Whitney and others (2002). This approach of Appreciative Inquiry is now being widely used in organizations to make the energy more positive and motivating.

When we are energized, we are able to be responsive, alive to the situation and the person we are talking to. Our voice andbody reflect our responses and add color and flavor to our talk.When we dont have enough gas in our tank, being responsiveis difficult at best.

5. Ask better questions

A routine question will evoke a routine response. Thus, Hows it going? will generally get a Fine, thanks, or perhaps a I cant complain. If the purpose of the question is only to acknowledge an acquaintance briefly and move on, your purpose is served. This is the social function of language that the anthropologist Malinowski called phatic communion, which is nothing more than a brief and superficial verbal connection, the smallest of small talk.

However, if youd prefer a more substantial conversation, youll need to use a different question to evoke a different response. A deeper and more detailed conversation will certainly be less predictable and probably more interesting, and it will likely have the effect of enriching your relationship.

Here are four suggestions for more productive questions:

1. Ask questions that elicit detail. These are often What? questions.

For example, What did you finally decide about relocating? orWhat did you do on your trip to Mexico? will usually stimulate detailed responses. Questions that dont require detail, such as How are your plans coming along? and How was your trip? can be answered with a mere Good, thanks.

2. Ask open questions that require more than a Yes or No. These are the Wh and H questions beginning with What, Why, Where, and How. These work better than closed questions that limit the response, such as Did you like the movie? Instead, What did you like about the movie? draws out a more interesting and detailed response.

3. Ask some questions that are a little bit surprising or edgy. These are not meant to put the person on the hot seat, or to make them uncomfortable, but to stimulate and get a lively response instead of a routine response. Whats the most exciting/challenging thing thats happening with you at this time? is such an edgy question. Predictable questions usually evoke predictable responses, such as What did you learn in school today? Oh, not much.

4.Use some If? questions such as If you had the means topursue your dream occupation, what would it be? Or If you could have dinner with a famous person, whom would you choose? Such questions break out of the routine and add some fresh energy to the conversation. By the way, dont ask others any question you yourself would not want to be asked. Also, be prepared to answer the very If? questions you ask. The other converser may say, Let me think about that for a minute. Meanwhile, you go first.

When you think of meditation what first comes to mind? Do you picture a group of people, swathed in robes, meditating in a temple? Do you picture a yoga class breathing in and out while meditating? Do you picture sitting on the beach listening to a meditation tape? All of these are examples of guided meditation. Guided meditation comes in several forms from group settings to listen to or reading a guided meditation script.

Lets say that you are interested in learning more about meditation. During your first meditation sessions you will most likely need help. Therefore, you need to follow a guide or script to ensure that you fall into a deep meditative state. So which type of guided meditation should you engage in? The answer is that it depends on your preferences. Lets take a look at three different types of guided meditation including yoga, listening to a tape/CD, and reading a meditation script.

1.) Guided meditation at a yoga class: Yoga is an excellent way to introduce your mind and body to meditation. You will have a teacher whom will make sure that you have the proper posture and breathing technique during the meditation. This instant feedback is extremely valuable. They will guide you through the process of freeing your mind and filtering out distractions. They want you to succeed and will do everything they can to provide a ripe environment for successful meditation.

2.) Listening to a tape/CD: Perhaps you dont have the time or interest in yoga. Listening to a tape/CD is a great way to meditate. You can find a great deal of guided meditation audio recordings that will walk you through the meditation process. You just pop on your headphones and listen.

Another advantage of listening to a tape/CD is that you can choose your topic. For instance, you can listen to a deep breathing meditation, a meditation on losing weight, a meditation on improving your self confidence, and the list goes on and on. You can even find guided meditation tapes/CDs that you listen to while you are asleep. They send subliminal messages to your brain all night long. You wake up in the morning refreshed, energized, and ready to experience the new day.

3.) Reading a meditation script: If you are not an auditory person then you can read a guided meditative script. The script will outline how to prepare for your meditative session. It will guide you through the posture you need and the deep breathing sequence you should use. It will provide details about what to think about and visualize during your meditation session. The script will tell you how to finish off your session and what to do in the mean time before your next session.

Where can you find these guided meditation methods? You can find a Yoga studio in your local area by combing the telephone book and Internet. You can find plethora of tapes/CDs on the Internet and at your local book store. You can find meditation scripts online at a variety of meditation related websites. You can try all three methods to find the method that works best for you. Remember, your preference should be based on your feelings and desires, not on what your friend or family members think. Meditation is a personal experience.
